Bun Bundles is an app built for Shopify stores that helps merchants create and manage high-performing product bundles, volume discounts, and add ons. Our goal is to make bundling simple and effective — so you can grow your business without extra hassle.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you install or use the Bun Bundles app or visit bunbundles.com.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Store and Account Data

When you install Bun Bundles, Shopify shares certain store data with us so the app can function properly. This may include:

• Store name, domain, and contact email
• Store owner name and phone number (if provided)
• Product details (titles, variants, prices, inventory)
• Order details (IDs, line items, totals, and discount codes applied)
• Theme information

2.2 Billing and Usage Data

To calculate and process usage-based subscription charges, we collect and store:

• Plan approval date and the start and end of your 14-day free trial
• Your Shopify billing cycle start date and a unique identifier for each 30-day billing cycle
• Attributed revenue per billing cycle — the post-discount value of order line items added via the Bun Bundles widget that carry our discount code. This is our measure of the additional revenue we generate for your store each cycle, and it determines your billing tier
• Your billing tier for each cycle (Starter, Grow, or Unlimited) and the corresponding charge
• A record of whether each cycle has been billed, to prevent duplicate charges

We do not collect or store payment card details. All payment processing is handled directly by Shopify through their billing infrastructure.

2.3 Technical and Analytics Data

When you visit bunbundles.com, we may collect limited technical data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) through Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand site performance.

3. How We Use the Information

We use this information to:

• Power your bundle offers and app functionality
• Calculate your attributed revenue per billing cycle and determine the applicable usage-based charge
• Process subscription billing through Shopify's billing infrastructure
• Provide support and communicate about your account
• Maintain and improve app performance and security
• Comply with Shopify's platform requirements and applicable laws

We never sell, rent, or share your information for advertising or unrelated marketing purposes.

4. Sharing Information

We share limited data only when necessary to provide and maintain our services:

• With Shopify, to enable app functionality, integration, and billing
• With trusted service providers (such as hosting and analytics) who follow strict data protection standards
• When required by law or to protect rights and prevent misuse

If we transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We apply different retention periods depending on the type of data:

• Operational and store data (store details, product data, order data used for app functionality): retained while your store uses the app and deleted within 30 days of uninstalling Bun Bundles, unless retention is required by law.
• Billing and financial records (attributed revenue per cycle, tier assignments, charge records): retained for up to 10 years to comply with applicable accounting and tax obligations under EU law, even after uninstallation.
